The graph is a pictorial representation of (a subset of) teachers and institutions within the western Buddism community. Graph lines indicate relationships between teachers (e.g. who studied under whom), and the institutions where they have a founding or leadership role. The graph shows the rich interconnectedness of the Vipassana, or insight Meditation, community. With a graphical representation, it becomes apparent that many of the teachers in the U.S. studied with the same teachers in in the near East.
This simple page illustrates a few features of CSS and HTML. The graph control panel uses animation to gradually change an element's style from one value to another. In this case when we detect a mouse click on the panel's 'header' the margin is changed to show or hide the panel.
